I had a fantastic time in Costa Rica thanks to Alex and his son Johan. Johan took a lot of pictures while horseback riding and also made sure pictures taken during zip lining.

“We liked Alex so much we booked a second tour with him”
Alex took our party of 8 on a zip line, horseback, rafting, mud bath and hot springs tour near Rincon de la Vieja. We had initially booked a location in at Hacienda Guachipelin (recommended in Frommers), on our way Alex asked if we would be interested at going to one with the same adventures but a little closer and less crowded. We were a bit apprehensive (worried about a little bait and switch) but decided to trust him. We were so glad we did, he was right! Our zip line group only had our 8 plus two more. On another day we drove past the Hacienda location and it was very crowded. Our tour at the Canon was fabulous. The people were fantastic and Alex stuck around and touched base with us between every excursion. During the drive he shared local and historical information. Even found monkeys in the tress along the way! We enjoyed our trip with Alex so much…. we booked another excursion with him on the spot.
Our next adventure with him was the Palo Verde National Park river boat. Again Alex stayed with us on the boat with the two other guides. They worked hard to find us wildlife to see. White faced monkeys, howler monkeys, crocodiles, giant yellow grasshoppers, baby bats, lots of iguanas and birds. We were not disappointed. He took us to a lunch in a local village and it was probably the best meal we had in Costa Rica our entire stay. 5 stars all around!
